La Familia Medical Center is looking for a family nurse practitioner who is comfortable seeing all ages including children and doing women's health.
Under the general direction of the Medical Director, the Certified Nurse Practitioner provides primary medical and preventive care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses in an assigned clinic site(s), in accordance with federal, state, and other administrative requirements.
Education and Experience
- This position requires that the Certified Nurse Practitioner be a graduate of an accredited Certified Nurse Practitioner program;
- Preferred experience in a community health center, and working within a managed care environment.
Licenses and Certifications
- Documentation of education, experience and licensure is required and must be maintained; Certified Nurse Practitioner must be insurable under the policies and requirements of LFMC;
- Current licensure for the state of New Mexico is required;
- Certified in specified area of medical specialty by American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Credentialing Center;
- Federal DEA Certification;
- NM State pharmacy license;
- ACLS or CPR and First Aid certification;
- Must be credentialed per LFMC procedures.
